What happened before is that the skill tree was a mess, and it took too many points to get to anything useful in the old tree, and so people would only just use 25% of the tree and the rest of it would be wasted. Which is interesting but I can always seeing that be an issue with the limitations of the skill tree automation. Same questions can be asked for other stats that are now mostly found in 1 tree. You now also have to decide how many times you take a tree, what path do you start with? What path do you end with? How many crit chance do you need at the end to make your end game push work? So many times do you need to take the crit path? Will that make your start to long? The discussion about it on the Discord between veteran players tells me otherwise though. If you first look at the tree, it might look like it got more simple.
